Day 1 of a 21 day Fast - Stepping Out of Traffic

It's been 12 minutes so far and I must admit I'm proud of myself. I've only thought of one burger so far...All joking aside, I've decided to embark on a 21 day fast because I really need something from God. It seems that my current situation has a stubborness that won't go away. This tells me that it's time for deeper waters. Time to get away from the distractions of life.

I feel as though either God has been totally silent for months now or I've been inbetween frequencies. I can accept the silence if that were the case... but I know it's me. I've been distracted. I've been busy. At first, it was the Martha Syndrome. You remember Martha, don't you? Running around busy preparing for Jesus to come into her home. Busy doing the needful things but neglecting what's necessary.

Now it's a slump. I don't feel like doing much at all.

It's time for a shift. I heard the words, "Paradigm Shift" once during prayer. When I looked the term up it was defined as a "radical change in underlying beliefs or theory." Yes, that's what I need. Radical and supernatural change. Only God can bring it about but I need to draw closer in order to hear Him. I need to step out of traffic and listen..

Follow me on this journey.

"Step out of the traffic! Take a long, loving look at me, your High God, above politics, above everything." (Ps 46:8b MSG)

Well, this week has been pretty amazing. I visited the Los Angeles Central Library, the L.A. County Museum of Art, Redondo Beach Pier, and the South Coast Botanical Garden. Each day was full of excitement and inspiration.

I'm working on my 2nd book and can't wait to dive in. I look forward to encouraging each of you soon.

We're up and running!

First, thank you for visiting my blog! It took a little while for me to finally get things up and running but thanks to my son and his technical expertise I'm here. This is new territory for me

So now that I have my official blog underway, here is what I plan to do with it:

1. Keep you posted on my upcoming prayer booksignings;
2. Encourage you each day with everyday life experiences; and
3. Share some laughter.

Thank you again for visiting!
